Announced in July of last year, Assassin’s Creed Infinity remains a pretty big unknown. Because of Ubisoft’s lack of information, there are several rumors, including a new one that the game will have a snippet that takes place in Asia.

According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, the specific project is being called “Red”. Contrary to what was previously thought, Red will not be a separate game, but an integral part of AC Infinity (perhaps a DLC).
The next big game in the franchise will be a collaboration between Ubisoft Quebec ( AC Odyssey ) and Ubisoft Montreal ( AC Origins and Valhalla ). Despite few details, the title is expected to be a Games as a Service (GaaS), like GTA Online and Fortnite , with news and expansions being released with some frequency.
Although confirmed by the developer, AC Infinity still does not have a release date. Frédérick Duguet, the company’s chief financial officer, said the title is an ambitious project and will remain “true to the series’ legacy of rich storytelling experiences”.

Ubisoft had several news revealed due to the release of a financial report. In addition to the information about the cancellation of Ghost Recon Frontline and Splinter Cell VR , the document reports on the postponement of a “smaller premium game that has not been announced”.
Possibly, the company was referring to Project Rift, which would be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC. Rift’s content eventually got so big that it became a standalone. The title may be pass in Baghdad .
