The next Samsung Unpacked will be on August 10: new foldables and the Galaxy Watch 5 on the horizon

The arrival of the latest Samsung devices is getting closer. In February of this year, the South Korean company presented the Galaxy S22 , S22+ and S22 Ultra , as well as the Galaxy Tab S8 at the first Unpacked of 2022. Now, after an initial leak from Evan Blass , it has confirmed that the next event will be held on August 10 .

On this occasion, Samsung has not directly revealed the date, but has played with a riddle so that it is the users who discover it. Thus, on his Twitter account he published three images: in the first we can see a grid with letters, numbers and symbols, while in the second only a grid with colors.

he third image features six colored circles accompanied by a caption stating that “something greater” will come that day . If we match each of them with the information in the previous images, we can reveal the riddle. The result? 081022, which can be understood as month/day/year, which translates to 08/10/2022.

What can we expect from Samsung Unpacked

Rumors and leaks, which have been going around for a long time, suggest that at this event we will see new folding devices and smart watches. If we take into account the movements of Samsung in the past, we can highlight that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 were presented in August of last year.

At the folding level, no major design changes are expected. We would find devices very similar to those presented in 2021 , but somewhat more compact. Of course, the most substantial changes would come under the hood , with more power, but the leaks do not provide details about the type of processor they will have.

The Galaxy Watch5 could also take the stage. These will be the first to release Wear OS 3.5 and One UI Watch 4.5 . Leaks suggest that this year we will have three versions instead of two with the arrival of a “Pro” variant finished in titanium.
